About The Wrinkled Thistle
Welcome to the The Wrinkled Thistle.
I've been knitting since I was a child, taught by my mum and gran. Following a detour to University, medical research and then scholarly publishing, I've been figuring out what I love most. Knitting fought hard for the top spot with database and spreadsheet creation and I've decided to combine both.
I also knit ganseys (commissioned) and am a qualified technical editor and pattern grader.
I live in the North York Moors, a wonderful place to roam and experience all the climate has to offer. I'm also not far from the coast, which is glorious in the height of summer or on a wild, moody winters day.
Technical Editing and Pattern Grading
I am a Technical Editor for knitting, certified by Cool Wool School, where I also learned the art of pattern grading.
